COVID-19 Policy and Procedure Updates
March 20, 2022

Dear parents, guardians and students,

As you will have seen in the press, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education has decided to ease some COVID-19 precautionary measures in schools and kindergartens from
Sunday, March 20, 2022.

Students aged 12 years and below no longer need to wear face masks in all public and private schools, and those who wish to wear it can continue to do so.

Continuing to conduct the home antigen rapid test for non-vaccinated and unrecovered students on a weekly basis, according to the pre-established procedures.

The Ministry calls on all students to continue to adhere to all other precautionary measures, and the Ministry takes this opportunity to affirm its full concern for their safety and its commitment to continuing the educational process in a manner that is appropriate to all circumstances and developments.

Unvaccinated Student
Your child is required to complete a home Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) every week before school starts on Sunday, or before your child(-ren) return to school after a period of isolation or absence.
As before, please make sure you fill in one MoPH form (attached) per unvaccinated child and ask your child(-ren) to bring the paper copy to school every Sunday morning to hand to the reception.

COVID-19 Recovered Student
If your child is not fully vaccinated but has recovered from COVID-19 in Qatar in the past nine months, he/she is no longer required to complete a weekly home Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) to attend school. Please provide evidence of his/her status by sending your child into school tomorrow with a paper copy of their recovery certificate.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support in ensuring we are compliant with all regulations from the relevant Ministry.

Yours sincerely,

Zlatan Fazlić
