This course caters to students of all ages, starting at 6+ years old.

Through this program, our aim is to support musicians, engage the community, and bring music within reach of everyone. This program caters to students who wish to learn an instrument and or participate in an ensemble with other musicians. The program is designed to help students enjoy the love of playing a musical instrument without the need to sit any music exams.

There is no limited age is required for our ‘Music For All’ Program. Students in this program can benefit by learning music in a way that suits their lifestyle and busy schedule and grow their skills by participating in group lessons, and performing to the public through numerous opportunities offered through Qatar Music Academy.

All students must audition to be accepted into the ‘Music for All’ Program, students in the program are not required to sit any examinations.

*Students wanting to join the Western program must have their own instrument.

**Students wanting to learn the piano must have their own piano at home.

***Students learning Western percussion must have a drum kit at home.

COURSE INFORMATION

Music For All — Arab Music Department

At the Arab Music Department, instrument instruction starts at the first level. Basic skills are reinforced while teaching the student new techniques to help them progress to higher levels. Students will learn both traditional classical methods based on oral tradition and curriculums designed for each level and instrument.

In addition to offering private instrumental lessons, the Arab Music Department  also offer a wide variety of group classes, or ‘Ensembles’ such as The Arab Jawqa Choir, Our esteemed Takht, and Maqamat.

Music For All — Western Music Department

At the Western Music Department, activities and courses planned based on the student’s musical abilities, training needs, musical level and age

In addition to offering private instrumental lessons, the Western Music Department  also offers a wide variety of group classes, or ‘Ensembles’ such as the Qatar Youth Orchestra, and the Wind Ensembles.
